im2skillI've always wanted to make a game and im very intested in castles, so i've decided to make a game about castles. It will be a strategy game set in the middle ages. You will play it through your web browser (browser based game).

For the first version i want to keep it simple so here are my ideas:

You have one castle, once it's destroyed by attackers you're dead and have to restart. The point of the game is to have the biggest castle.

Building your castle bigger takes time and gold. Bigger castles create better defence and allow room for more troops for your garrisoned army. You can build moats, walls, gatehouse and towers.

Gatehouse-Stronger gatehouse is harder for battering rams to break.

Moat-Attackers have to dig up moat to use siege ladders and battering ram.

Walls-Stronger walls are harder for catapults to break. Taller walls are harder for siege ladders to gain access to the castle.

Towers-More towers means more room for archers.

Your garrisoned army defends your castle from attackers. Archers do all the defending until the enemy gain acess to your castle then footmen and knights also defend. To gain access to the castle you have to break the walls or gatehouse.

Your attacking army lays siege to enemys castles. To destroy an enemy castle you have to kill all troops. Once you have destroyed an enemies castle you get a certain amount of gold, depending on how big the castle was.

This should only take a few weeks once i've started, but im a bit busy at moment.

Please post if you have any ideas. I don't expect the game to be fun until the second version where i'll be adding more castle things, which could be a couple of months .

deborahknowlessounds good. I can't wait! What about numbers of horses/knights to be bought or killed? Had you thought about sieges and food/water supply? Good luck!

WhitemanfrtownSounds fine. Post something when you've got an update.
